Each Huon Valley Yoga session is lovingly designed to lead you toward a homecoming . . . the ease & stillness which Yoga teaches is our true nature. Each practice ends with a guided relaxation.
Healthy, natural breathing is the foundation of our practice, to balance the nervous system and focus the mind.
We emphasise healthy, functional, mindful movement to ease tension, build resilience, and restore balance: function over form.
We explore balanced, easeful posture from the ground up each term, starting from the feet and working our way up to the shoulders, neck & head week by week.
We’re a friendly, welcoming community of Yogis of all kinds of ages, shapes and walks of life. No judgments, and no pressure.
Your Yoga Guide
I’m Alison. I’ve been teaching Yoga for over 15 years, and practising for many more. Practising Yoga has given me more peace, ease & resilience, and so I love sharing the practice.
I’m registered with Yoga Australia & my studies over the years have included Para Yoga, Yoga for Trauma, Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga, Yoga for chronic pain, Kids & Families’ Yoga, and more. I’m always learning! Please feel welcome to drop me a line using the form below if you have any questions.
