Welcome to Huon Valley Yoga.
Huon Valley Yoga is now offering Gentle Yoga for Beginners online with Alison Eastland: 10 weeks of easy-going, slow-paced Yoga for real people with real bodies.
Downloadable practice videos offer you sequences for healthy mobility & strength, and deep relaxation, helping you to feel centred, calm and resilient.
This is Yoga that’s easy but also very effective for better breathing and better physical and mental well-being.
You can download the resources to use again and again, and you can ask questions at any time using the course discussion board.
You’re very welcome to start the course at any time – no need to wait for the start of a term.
Once you’re enrolled you’ll have 12 weeks to download your practices from the 10 week course, but you can go at your own pace.

We also have some Pay-It-Forward places donated by our local Huon Valley Yoga community for anyone who wants to enjoy the online course but can’t afford the fees right now. Please get in touch via the form at the bottom of this page if you’d like to use a Pay-It-Forward place, or know someone who would benefit from this.
Our in -person courses, when they resume, may include Gentle Yoga, Foundations for beginners, and Yoga for experienced Yogis.
Customised private sessions are available online via Skype or Zoom for creating individualised practices. Please click the button below for more information (limited places available).
Each Huon Valley Yoga session is lovingly designed to lead you toward a homecoming . . . the ease & stillness which Yoga teaches is our true nature. Each practice ends with a guided relaxation.
Healthy, natural breathing is the foundation of our practice, to balance the nervous system and focus the mind.
We emphasise healthy, functional, mindful movement to ease tension, build resilience, and restore balance: function over form.
We explore balanced, easeful posture from the ground up each term, starting from the feet and working our way up to the shoulders, neck & head week by week.
We’re a friendly, welcoming community of Yogis of all kinds of ages, shapes and walks of life. No judgments, and no pressure.
